Our Hours Explained!

Automotive operates on a unique business model. We don't use traditional hours of operation. We do have an
opening time of 9am, but when we have completed the work for the day... we close. Some days that's 2pm and others
it's 8pm. We do this successfully by operating a true appointment
system.
What's
a true appointment system? Most shops say they accept appointments.
The problem with their appointment is that it simply means they know you are coming in. They have not actually scheduled
you a service bay and technician for that time. That means that your 9am appointment may result in your car not being
seen until 2:30pm. It really all depends on how many customers they convinced to come in at 9am. This works great for
the shop... not so great for you!
We
set TRUE APPOINTMENTS. When you schedule your car for 9am, you are scheduling a bay and technician for 9am. Yes,
occasionally we miss by a few minutes, but we work very hard to be ready for you on time. We understand this system
can be bad for us at times when a customer misses or comes in late for an appointment. But in the big picture, we would
rather deal with a few lost dollars than fight with people all day about when we're going to get to their car.
And of course, as with any shop, we accept WALK-INS. As
you might expect, if you walk-in, we'll get to you as quickly as possible but we must serve the scheduled appointments
first.
Why
do we operate this way?
After
25+ years in the auto repair business we have realized that it does not make financial sense to have the shop doors open 10-12
hours a day waiting for someone to have a problem. 90% of all vehicle services need to be scheduled. Various arrangements
always need to be made. And in all our years, we've never had a customer show up at 4:30pm with an emergency oil
change. And the reality is if your car breaks down after 2pm, almost without exception, it will not be looked at until
the following day anyway, at any shop. We keep our overhead lower by not sitting around the shop with nothing to do
but burn utilities. Efficiency, personal service and honesty keeps everyone happy. Customer and Employee!
